Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin material (a durable resin material) is applied and hardened with a special light, which ultimately “bonds” the material to the tooth to restore or improve a person’s smile. Dental bonding is an option that can be considered:
- To repair decayed teeth (composite resins are used to fill cavities).
- To repair chipped or cracked teeth.
- To improve the appearance of discolored teeth.
- To close spaces between teeth.
- To make teeth look longer.
- To change the shape of teeth.
- As a cosmetic alternative to amalgam fillings
- To protect a portion of the tooth’s root that has been exposed when gums recede.
Crowns & Bridgework:
Browne Goetz & Miraglia has particular expertise with Dental Crown procedures and Bridgework. The purpose of a dental crown is to protect fragile teeth from fracture. Fractures and cracks frequently happen to teeth with large existing restorations, or teeth that under excessive load as we’ve seen in sleep grinders and people who clench . Dental Crowns also provide perfect matches to natural tooth color and shape. Crowns can also be used to create a lifelike replacement for a missing tooth. This is performed by our dentists with bridgework, which spans the space of the missing tooth and requires at least three crowns. Two of those crowns will be placed over teeth on either side of the missing tooth; these teeth are referred to as abutment teeth.
Dental Implants are possibly the most exciting news in dentistry for decades. Dental Implants are the most comfortable way to replace lost or missing teeth. It is now possible to replace a tooth or multiple teeth and possibly keep it for the rest of your life with Dental Implants. Having a Dental Implant feels like having a normal new tooth.
Conservative treatments like tooth-colored fillings are preventing the side effects of toothaches and broken teeth. Fillings intercept the potential of fracture before experiencing symptoms of hot or cold sensitivity and biting pain makes it possible to preserve the healthy remaining tooth structure. We also offer metal-free dental fillings which can replace your metal fillings to improve your smile. Metal free fillings are not only used for restoring decay, but are also used for cosmetic improvements of the smile by changing the color of the teeth or reshaping disfigured teeth.
Inlays & Onlays
Made of a strong, natural-looking material, such as porcelain or composite, inlays are used by our dentists to restore inside the cusp of the tooth. A conservative tooth restoration that requires far less removal of tooth structure than its metal counterpart, an inlay increases tooth strength and provides enduring protection for the tooth.
Ben Miraglia of Browne Goetz & Miraglia has been an Invisalign faculty member speaking internationally to thousands of dentists. He is considered one of the leading Invisalign dentists in the world. If you are interested in Invisalign then look no further than Browne Goetz & Miraglia.
Oral Cancer Screenings
Because 25 percent of the people diagnosed with oral cancer have no risk factors, an oral cancer screening by our dentists is a routine part of dental maintenance. Regular check-ups, including an examination of the entire mouth, are essential in the early detection of cancerous and pre-cancerous conditions.

Periodontics is the branch of dentistry that is concerned with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases or abnormalities of the supporting tissues of the teeth and their substitutes. Periodontal treatment is necessary when conditions affect the health of your gums and the regions of your jaw bone which hold your teeth in place. Should gum problems arise, you may need periodontal therapy to restore diseased tissues to health.
Myofunctional therapy requires significant additional training. Dr. Ben Miraglia of Browne Goetz & Miraglia PC is one of the leaders in Myofuctional Therapy in the nation. Myofunctional therapy (oftentimes referred to as “myofunctional orthodontics”) is used to correct thumb or finger sucking habits, incorrect tongue resting posture, tongue thrust swallowing patterns, open mouth rest posture and mouth breathing. It can help guide teeth into a more desirable relationship during a child’s early development (between the ages of 3 and 12) and enhance a child’s appearance and posture (which will last a lifetime).
At Browne Goetz & Miraglia PC located in Mount Kisco, NY, our orthodontics division’s ultimate aim is to create a beautiful and healthy smile for each and every one of our patients.
We understand that a beautiful smile is a powerful asset in your personal and professional life and orthodontics can help you achieve this goal. TMJ disorders develop in kids, teens, and adults for many reasons. You might clench or grind your teeth, oftentimes without you even being aware of it, or while you sleep. Grinding your teeth is called “bruxism” and many people are unaware they do it, as it mostly occurs during sleep. This puts a lot of pressure on the TMJ, and can also cause fillings to become loose and teeth to fracture in some cases. You may have a damaged jaw joint due to an injury or due to a diagnosed disease or medical condition.
Full Mouth Reconstruction
A beautiful, radiant smile that shows off your confidence, health, and natural beauty can make a stunning first impression on others. However, if your smile has been damaged by decay, tooth loss, and other oral issues, it can dramatically impact your self-confidence, the functionality of your bite, and the way you are perceived by others. At Browne Goetz & Miraglia, our skilled dentists are committed to helping our patients in Mount Kisco, NY, achieve a happier and healthier smile with a customized full mouth reconstruction plan.
